Clemson and Ohio State now co-favorites; Tigers touchdown favorites over Notre Dame

Even without their star quarterback, top-ranked Clemson is still favored in their road game against Notre Dame next Saturday.

SportsBetting.com, opened the Tigers as touchdown favorites against the Fighting Irish, but early betting has moved the number down a half point.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney announced after this weekend’s game that Trevor Lawrence would not be available for the top 5 showdown at South Bend.

Lawrence is worth anywhere from 4-7 points to the spread. When he was announced as out against Boston College, the Tigers immediately moved from 30.5-point favorites to -24.5. The spread dipped as low as -23.5, but closed at -26.5.

If Lawrence was playing this week instead of backup D.J. Uiagalelei, Clemson would be around a 10-point favorite.

Clemson has seen its National Championship odds take a hit, too. The Tigers are now co-favorites with Ohio State to win the CFP with +200 odds.

This marks the first time all year that any team other than Clemson is favored to win the title.

Notre Dame’s odds dropped from +4500 last week to +3000 currently.
