Super Bowl: First prop bets and the team books are rooting againstFor one sportsbook, the Kansas City Chiefs are the one team it doesn't want to see hoist the Lombardi Trophy on February 2. SportsBetting.ag is reporting that it will lose a "substantial amount" should the Chiefs win Super Bowl LIV. This is based on bettors placing wagers on all 32 teams before and throughout the 2019 NFL season. The Chiefs accounted for 8 percent of the Super Bowl bets taken at the book. The only other teams that generated more bets this season were the Patriots and Saints. A title from the 49ers, Packers or Titans would generate a profit for the book. The Chiefs started the season with +800 odds to win the Super Bowl while the Packers were +!600, the 49ers +2800 and the Titans +5000. Only 10 teams had worse odds than Tennessee to begin the year. This weekend, the majority of the betting public is backing the favorites and the overs, which is commonplace. The moneyline bettors are taking shots with the underdogs.
