Kentucky Derby odds for virtual Triple Crown Showdown

The 146th Kentucky Derby was supposed to go down tomorrow, but instead NBC will air a virtual race between the 13 Triple Crown winners throughout horse racing history.

According to real betting odds from online sportsbook SportsBetting.ag, Secretariat is the favorite to walk away with roses adorned. The simulated race is being called the Triple Crown Showdown and will take place at 5:45 p.m. ET.

"The bet count for Secretariat is about three times as much as any other horse," Robert Cooper, odds manager at SportsBetting.ag, said. "Everyone wants to bet on a piece of nostalgia because this is a way to relive that iconic, record race for those of us that didn't get to the first time around."

The bookie has also come up with some fun props and head-to-head matchups to accompany the action.

Additionally, for the actual Derby, rescheduled for September 5 due to the pandemic, SportsBetting.ag shows that Tiz The Law and Charlatan, the Arkansas Derby odds-on favorite, are favored (full odds below).
