Who's going to make the All-Star team in this split season? Which teams will be the top seeds going into the playoffs? Will the Cavaliers or Knicks be the worst club in the league?
All of these questions are answered below, with the help of the odds gods. Numbers are provided by Colorado-based sportsbook,
SportsBetting.com.
Most of you know how the odds work, but these All-Star figures can be a bit tricky. The first 12 players (all of them have "minus" odds) are the favorites to make the team, while everyone else is a slight underdog or a big underdog.
For example, Giannis and LeBron have 1/33, or -3300, odds to be selected to an All-Star team. This means someone would have to risk $3300 to win just $100 should these players make the squad.
For a guy like Russell Westbrook, there seems to be good value because he is even money to make the team with 1/1 or +100 odds, meaning you risk a hundo to win a hundo.
Also, there are some "load management" scenarios below when it comes to the No. 1 seed in each conference. The Celtics have better odds than the Nets, and the Nuggets have better odds than the Clippers for the conferences' top seeds.
Finally, there are odds on the biggest loser of the league. Once again, the Cavs and Knicks take the cake, but the Pistons and Thunder are close behind.
