An exclusive, invite-only PFP project has quickly captured the attention of the NFT industry.
Cereal Club is a unique project built as a think-tank of who's who in the crypto, NFT, tech and related consumer industries.
"My very first of many custom NFTs. I’m excited to partner with Cereal Club," John Imah, head of Global Brands and Games Partnerships at Snapschat,
said in an Instagram post. "Side note, who doesn’t like cereal? Launching soon. Let’s go!"
CerealClub.io launched in late December, and at the time of this release, the brand has already accumulated more than 54,000 followers on Twitter.
The project has also attracted the gaze of NFT whales such as Nate Alex and 9x9x9, as well as industry executives such as Dave Zhang, Vice President of VanynerMedia, and Chris Maddern, Founder of LinksDAO.
The notable names don't stop there. Cereal Club's Discord has members such as: Jeff Miller, Head of Creative Strategy at Snapchat; Chris Loranger, President at The Kraft Group; Maher Sellam, Global Brand Communications Director at Adidas; Blake Samic, Head of Product Operations at Stripe.
"Already one of the coolest NFT communities," João Fiadeiro, Product Manager at Netflix,
tweeted on January 6.
While the Cereal Club Discord has been an invite-only community, there have been additional routes to gain access to the server. Twitter giveaways and Beeple-esque cryptic messages that guide riddlers to random websites have also been offered by the team as avenues to join.
The current roadmap looks traditional at first glance, but the goal for this NFT project and community is to be an "ecosystem of assistance" in the Web3 world.
The project artwork embodies a cross-pollination between Cool Cats and Doodles. Both blue-chip NFT projects have holders active in the Cereal Club community where they are tagged with a "Food Scientist" role.
The mint price for the Cereal Club NFT hasn't been announced, but the drop date is expected to be between the end of January and early February.
