The Ohio State-Michigan rivalry has reached an uncharted territory.
SportsBetting.com (
www.sportsbetting.com) opened the Buckeyes as 31-point favorites on Sunday, which is the largest spread in the rivalry over the last 27 years, and likely its history.
Our odds records date back to the 1993 season, and the largest spread between Ohio State and Michigan over that span came when the Buckeyes were favored by 21.5 during the 2014 season.
Prior to that, there was a 20-point spread in 2008 and a couple of 17-point spreads, all favoring the Buckeyes. Michigan's largest spread as the favorite came in 1999 when the team was -11 against Ohio State.
The favorite in this rivalry has won 14 of 15 matchups, with Ohio State being favored in all but two games and going 13-2 overall. The Buckeyes are 9-6 against the spread during that stretch.
