According to the odds, the Red Sox will hire their next manager from within the organization.
However, the top six candidates to replace Alex Cora as Boston's skipper all have 6/1 odds or better at SportsBetting.ag, so there really isn't an overwhelming favorite.
Jason Varitek, the favorite, and Carlos Febles are the two current Red Sox employees near the top of the board. Bench coach Ron Roenicke is considered a longshot at 15/1.
Hensley Meulens, one of the hottest managerial names over the last few years, is second on the list while former Giants manager Bruce Bochy is listed at 25/1. David Ortiz has the worst odds at 50/1.
Please note that the odds are for the next permanent manager. Interim managers do not count toward wager.

The sign-stealing scandal has also impacted next season's World Series odds as Houston's and Boston's chances to win the Fall Classic have worsened slightly.
Last week, the Astros had the second-best odds (5/1) behind the Yankees. Following the suspension of A.J. Hinch and Jeff Luhnow, their odds have dropped to 7/1, and now Houston is third on the list behind the Yankees (7/2) and Dodgers (6/1).
Boston had 20/1 odds last week, but those jumped to 25/1 following the firing of Cora.
